I’m thrilled and excited to announce a new dimension to my photography services!  I’m delving into the photo booth business.  It’s an open-air, studio concept that allows groups of people to get into the shots and have fun playing dress-up and making fools of themselves!  Who doesn’t like to do that!?  I mean come on!  Everyone needs to let loose and channel their inner child/teenager every now and then, right?

The website has all the pertinent information on it.  Corporate parties are quoted a bit differently, so I encourage those clients to call or email me.

“Speed Meat” {Calgary Photograper}

Speed Meat is the name the guys gave Graham’s bike.  I think it’s appropriate and funny!  We spent some time on Nose Hill Park the other day, him practicing his moves on the hills, and me practicing my skills with motion, perspective and capturing action.  I don’t get to do a lot of this kind of photography.  I had a blast!

I’m super pumped and excited to be offering a brand new portrait package to my clients!  Please note that this is a package for small families, couples, etc.  Not for large groups!

The “Goodie Two-Shoes” Package  – $300

-45 minutes to 1 hour of coverage

-Approximately 25 images, completely retouched and supplied to you on CD in full resolution for your printing and sharing convenience

-No watermarks or copyright

Conditions – Fee is per immediate family group, based on 4 people.  For each additional person add $25.  Large groups will be charged according to photographer’s discretion.  Depending on location, a travel fee might be added.  Add GST. 

Kids and Critters in Corn Fields { Calgary Children’s Photographer}

I didn’t realize how many of my sessions take place in locations with long grass or in fields, or places with a lot of foliage. It certainly adds to the atmosphere and seems to create a silent and safe haven for my subject matter. A place to retreat to. To hide maybe?  Especially at first, when the session begins.  Then the kids and pets relax and it’s a free-for-all.  LOL.  But these are some of my all time favorite images.  Enjoy!

It’s In Their Eyes! { Calgary Children’s Photographer }

“Always put the focus on the eyes”.  It’s a rule of thumb in photography to ensure that the eyes are always crisp and sharp. Whether taking photos of people or animals, keep the eyes in focus.  They’re the windows of the soul after all!

New blog. Big headache.

Thanks to some wonderful malware, I found out that it was easier to actually dump the old blog entirely and start from scratch with a new one.  Yep. It was going to be that difficult to clean up the mess that was involved.  So here we are.  I’ve lost every single blog entry over the last, ohhhhhh, 4 or so years.  So there’s nothing really for anyone to look back on.  You’ll have to visit my website for all my current and past work until I can get this blog rolling again.

Speaking of getting things rolling…. I’ve been on disability leave for a few months due to a car accident last May.  Self-imposed disability leave… I’m doing my best to recover and get back to work but it’s not easy and I’m struggling to make any substantial gains.  Some of you might be wondering if I’ve fallen off the face of the earth or if I’ve shut my business down.  Neither!  I’m still here.  Doing my best. Chuggin’ along……

I will be putting together a spring promotion for family/kids sessions that will happen when all the snow disappears.  Hopefully in time for me to feeling well again and physically able to get back to what I enjoy doing.  Making photographs!  Please keep in touch.  I value your friendships, I love watching your families grow and I miss capturing all those nose-picking, butt-poking moments that keep us in stitches with every session!
